The Minds Matter Boston Team is excited to share some good news as we begin the new year: Thanks to your help, MMB successfully reached our $200,000 year-end fundraising goal!
We crunched the numbers, and our community’s impact is clear: over $50,000 of our donations from November to December were the direct result of volunteers’ efforts. With donations ranging from $5 to $1,000, you shared your stories with friends, family, acquaintances, and colleagues, and they listened. Together, you moved us a full quarter closer to our goal, helping to ensure that MMB’s program has the funding it needs to continue offering exceptional educational experiences for our students.
The role our volunteers play in making MMB’s work possible is difficult to overstate. You show up for students, whether that’s on Saturday mornings or on evening Zoom before a midnight college application deadline; you lend your expertise to gather metrics and make data-driven decisions about curriculum; and this holiday season, you helped fund the programs and opportunities that make our work together possible by sharing your own stories of learning, growth, and impact.
The time, effort, and energy you put into Minds Matter Boston’s 2025 Year-End Appeal will have immediate and long-term impacts on the future of our program. We can’t thank you enough.
With your help, juniors can begin their second semesters knowing that there’s a fully-funded summer program waiting for them at the end, ensuring that cost isn’t a barrier to any student’s learning and discovery. In the long-term, your support enables MMB to strengthen the infrastructure of our College and Career Success program, so that students can start college feeling supported, and end college with a clear picture of how they’ll begin their journey into a meaningful career.
Thank you for believing in our students and in our mission. We are so grateful to be entering this new year with you by our side.
Yours in service,
The Minds Matter Boston Team
PS: We’d like to give a particular shoutout to our team leads, whose leadership in motivating others to share their own stories played a crucial role in helping MMB meet our goal. In some highlights:
Team Paula raised over $10,000 this holiday season, making up almost a fifth of all volunteer fundraising donations!
Team Brigid and Team Hong each had over 50 different donors to their teams’ pages!
Cavan, of Team Kevin and Cavan, was honest that fundraising would be a learning experience. But with his enthusiasm and encouragement, Cavan helped lead his team to be first in 100% fundraising page creation!
